Once upon a time, I received a SodaStream for Christmas. I fell in love with the Natural Ginger Ale and Cola syrups. But they were VERY cost-prohibitive.
So, being very interested in recipes, I decided to search out recipes for soda syrups. And I found tons. Whether you have a SodaStream, an old-fashioned soda siphon, or a cheap source of sparkling water or club soda (Kroger sells their Big K brand in 2 Liter sizes), this is a fun activity to try.
Did I mention that I probably have, at any time, pop/soda in my veins rather than blood? That’s an addiction that I’m trying (desperately) to kick as it seems to be my main unhealthy vice. I figure if I make my own syrups and sodas (and make them healthy), that I will slowly be able to wean myself away from the unhealthy parts. Or at least that’s the excuse I’m giving myself today.
